 Walt Disney

    Disney is a company that has built a massive fan base over the production of their movies, television shows, and other entertainment. The productions began in 1923 by Walt Disney. After his death his brother Roy had taken over the company, which is when it became Walt Disney Productions. The company was on an upward path of success as the years went on. Different tourist attractions opened which helped create the fan base that they have now. Now not only is there a fanbase over the movies, shows and characters, but there are many people who just love the Disney parks.

Disney Theme Parks

    Not only can Disney fans watch their favorite shows and movies to see their favorite characters, they can travel to parks with rides and entertainment of all things Disney. There are multiple Disney theme parks worldwide that attract on average 50,000 fans a day (DisneyLand Capacity Numbers). There are fourteen different theme parks between the six locations. The main theme park is located in California, this location has two different theme parks. The other U.S. location is in Orlando, Florida. There are four different theme parks here along with a water park. At these parks there is entertainment for all ages and all fans. They have characters walking around, and live entertainment from the characters as well. The other four main locations are in Paris, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Hong Kong (All the Disney Parks in the World Ranked). 

    One of the main spots that all fans love throughout the parks is the Disney castle. The castle has become a big part of Disneys image, as it appears in the beginning of movies. So the real life castle is a huge attraction to fans. There are six castle parks around the world, two of them being in the U.S.. Kids are often drawn to the castle due to the princesses there. But Disney fans are not just children and there are so many Disney adults. The Disney castle has been a spot where Disney fans often choose to get engaged in front of. A popular quote that people often say about Disney is that it is the "happiest place on earth". 

    

    Another huge attraction for fans to visit is the Disney cruise. This is a vacation spot for people of all ages. They have live entertainment, all Disney themed. There are small clubs and activities all throughout the day for kids to join. They have a pool and hot tub as well. Not only do you get to enjoy being around the Disney environment but they also take stops at some beautiful locations. 

Merchandise

    All fans love to represent the fandom that they support. The Disney parks are a huge spot to get Disney merchandise. Whether you're just buying a small souvenir or you just find something you absolutely love. There are tons of different shops that have all different things, from shirts to stuffed animals to hats and little knick knacks. Although this is a huge spot to buy your Disney merchandise, you can also find it throughout your everyday stores or online.

Characters

    There are so many different characters that have been created throughout all of the different Disney productions. One face almost everyone seems to know when they think of Disney is Mickey Mouse. Mickey, just like the castle, has become a face of Disney. You may even call him the mascot. Other huge characters of Disney would be the Disney princesses. There are some that have been known for a long time such as Cinderella or Belle, but there are always new princesses being created. One of Disney's new huge hits was Frozen. New princesses were created named Elsa and Anna. Children grew to love them. They started live entertainment with this movie which was also a huge hit, this was called Disney on ice.

My Experience 

    I have absolutely loved Disney ever since I was a little girl. I have always loved the Disney princesses. Over this summer I went to Disney in Florida with my friends. It was an amazing experience. Not only do I love rides and amusement parks, but just the experience makes you feel like you're a little kid again with nothing to worry about. I loved going on the virtual rides where the characters feel like they are really right there with you. I thought that I might be too old for Disney when I went on the trip but I was wrong. I can't wait to go back to visit Disney again!

  Background Info.      Johnny Cash started to sing in the 1950's after his service in the military. He became known as the man in black due to the fact he always wore black clothes. During the 60's he began to fight with drugs. He had this battle his whole life.  In the 80's his sales began to drop. Then in the 90's he once again flourished. Then in 2003 he pasted away. Throughout his life he won many awards. He was able to do so after his death as well.    The Fandom In 2005, Walk the Line, a movie about his life was recorded. This movie was made for fans to see his life story. The One Who Fills a Void

       One day I was spending time in Benton at my uncle's house like I do often. Me and him were working on a 1948 John Deere G that he had bought in the 70's and is now mine. My uncle is an older gentleman who was never married and never had kids, so I am almost the closest thing he has ever had to a son or grandson. Which after my grandfathers passed away years ago, he really filled the void and became almost more like a grandfather figure in way. On this particular day we were trying to clean up the tractor after it was caught in a flood. My uncle was a truck driver and a diesel mechanic his whole life and has a small shop in his backyard full of expensive tools that had almost all gotten caught in the flood waters. We had already spent days cleaning the shop and the tools. At this point we were both getting tired and discouraged. My Best Friend

"A sister is someone that is not only your sister but a best friend." That is what Julie, my sister, and I always say because we are truly best friends. We do everything together. We are only 17 months apart in age. My mom would always dress us in the same outfit when we were little and everyone would always ask if we were twins. Julie is someone that I always want by my side, which has made it hard and extremely different since I have moved into college. We have made so many memories together and get along so well. My sister makes the harder times easier and the easy times more fun. We tell each other everything and would always make time in the day too caught up and just talk to each other.
