Background Info.
    Johnny Cash started to sing in the 1950's after his service in the military. He became known as the man in black due to the fact he always wore black clothes. During the 60's he began to fight with drugs. He had this battle his whole life.  In the 80's his sales began to drop. Then in the 90's he once again flourished. Then in 2003 he pasted away. Throughout his life he won many awards. He was able to do so after his death as well. 

 

The Fandom
In 2005, Walk the Line, a movie about his life was recorded. This movie was made for fans to see his life story. The movie goes on to talk about his singing, songwriting, and his romantic life with June Carter. 


Many tribute bands were also made, so fans can continue to listen to Johnny Cash's music live. These tribute bands sing Johnny cash's songs. They will usually sing just how Cash did. Some though, will put their own twist to his music. These bands have live music year round. 


Johnny cash maybe dead but he still lives on social media. There are people running the johnny cash account. The Johnny Cash Account has over 11 million followers. There are also Facebook groups  surrounding Johnny Cash. The biggest group is called "Cashaholics- Johnny Cash fan group". They are self proclaimed as the longest running. They have 48 thousand followers. In these groups members share things they bought cash related, his life, his music, and different events.

Fans will also buy merchandise. There are many things being sold. There are articles of clothing, flags, decals, records, and many more items. 

In Nashville, Tennessee There is a Johnny Cash Museum.  The museum is highly ranked on google. It is 4.6 out of 5 stars. Many people go to see this every day. There are many artifacts and memorabilia.

       One day I was spending time in Benton at my uncle's house like I do often. Me and him were working on a 1948 John Deere G that he had bought in the 70's and is now mine. My uncle is an older gentleman who was never married and never had kids, so I am almost the closest thing he has ever had to a son or grandson. Which after my grandfathers passed away years ago, he really filled the void and became almost more like a grandfather figure in way. My Best Friend

"A sister is someone that is not only your sister but a best friend." That is what Julie, my sister, and I always say because we are truly best friends. We do everything together. We are only 17 months apart in age. My mom would always dress us in the same outfit when we were little and everyone would always ask if we were twins. Julie is someone that I always want by my side, which has made it hard and extremely different since I have moved into college. We have made so many memories together and get along so well. My sister makes the harder times easier and the easy times more fun. We tell each other everything and would always make time in the day too caught up and just talk to each other.
