Known professionally as Post Malone, Austin Richard Post is an American singer, songwriter, producer and actor. His reign of popularity began in 2015 and has contunued since. "He was nomianted for Album of the Year at the 2018 Grammy Awards and colaborated with Swae Lee to create a soundtrack song for the film Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse" (IMDb.com). His diverse talent spectrum has allowed him to gain populariry and create a major fan following.
His Fanbase
Those truely invested in Post Malone are members of the "Post Malone Community". Even though Malone does not have one specific fanbase, his polularity spreads across several platforms. His team manages a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram account, as well as his website. His most popular networking occurs on Instagram, where he has 22.7 million followers. Malone's account speaks to a 20-24 year old, predominantly male demographic. About two-thirds of these followers residing in the United States (Influencer intelegence). Post Malones fanbase traveles further than just those that enjoy his music, it also extends into the world of alcohol. Malone announced he would be conducting a brand collaboration with Bud Light. This partnership consisited of Malone creating an new line of clothing including sweatpants, hoodies, and T-shirts. He also promoted Bud Light in commercials that aired during Super Bowl 55. Malones followers made this campagn a success, as his fanbase increased advertisement through his online platforms. In addition, Malone has been very sucessful in the terms of merchandise. He has products spread across dozens of stores including Hot Topic and Pacsun. His fanbase has allowed him to create a wide variety of merchandise categories, from shirts to wooden spoons. While Post Malone does not have any fan created merchandise, he utelizes his fans to generate new ideas. His followers then spread the word of new relases or additions and it allows him to keep producing.
Another way his fan base debuts their adoration in through their Twitter page, titled 'Post Malone Fans'. It is the largest Post Malone community on Twitter, consisting of 27,000 followers. This group has over 1,500 tweets and Malone himself follows it. The account posts updates about Post Malone, including his personal and professional life. The posts sometimes consist of poles or just update fans on new merchandise or music releases.

My Thoughts
I myself am a fan of Post Malone and his work. I listen to his music consistently and I follow him on all social media accounts. I find his face and body tattoos interesting and I enjoy being kept up to date on his music. I use social media to update myself on his new releases, concerts and remix albums. I have a Post Malone funko pop on my desk, and a sweatshirt from an ealier album of his. He is a top artist of interest for myself and my friends.
Overall, Post Malone's fandom is very tame compared to other artists. He has a consistent demographic and a strong follwing. The time and effort his fans take to display their adoration proves his work is loved. He never ceases to amazine his fans, including myself, and I hope to see him in concert in the near future.
