Shameless TV cast 

  Shameless is an American comedy/drama television show that I absolutely love and could not help but binge watch all the whole series. It first aired on Showtime on January 9th, 2011, all the way till April 11th, 2021. This show became very popular and has grown to have a total of eleven seasons. The show is about a dysfunctional family who lives on the South Side of Chicago. Being that this show is relatable to many people, there is a large variety of fan base and many fandoms created by followers throughout the years. 

Frank Gallagher is a neglective, alcoholic father of six kids who finds himself getting into mishaps on the daily. The six children (Fiona, Lip, Ian, Debbie, and Liam) have to learn to take care themselves while dealing with their own everyday South Side drama. This show deals with issues relating to family, relationships, drugs and alcohol which are problems that occur in high percentage of individuals lives. Fans like myself can really connect and relate to the characters on a deeper level then just any other regular tv series.

    In many fan cultures, individuals will often show their love for shows like Shameless through fan fiction, fan art, videos or cosplay. Fan fiction is a popular hobby for fans when it comes to loving a show. People can take a plot or story line and make it their own.  In the series Shameless, there are many different relationships and connections between the characters. Fan fiction often will take these relationships and create them to pursue a different ending or one they prefer over the actually ending in the show that the author has written.

 Fan art is another form of a fandom for this show. Many followers of the show express their love and passion for it by creating artwork of the characters in the show. This can be shown through drawings, paintings, sculptures, photo collages, etc. Many pieces of artwork are posted online for other fans to look at or are hung on walls of bedrooms like posters. There is also art like video's where followers make fan edits of some of the scenes and characters in the show.     Cosplay is also a big way that fans can show their support and love for Shameless. Cosplay is where you dress up as a character from a television show, movie, book, or video game. Cosplay is considered an extreme form of fandom but many people participate in it. Cosplay can be shown through the clothes the characters wear, all the way to wigs to match the characters hair color.

Many people visit the setting of Shameless. Shameless takes place in the city of Chicago, Illinois. The house it actually took place in is said to be on Wallace Avenue, but it is actually located on 2119 South Homan Avenue. According to Distractify, Shameless fans are welcome to come inside the gate and take pictures of the porch.

    Although Shameless has a huge following already, I believe the fandom will only grow as it releases another season in December 2021. Rumor has it that this will be the final season of Shameless as Showtime feels that it was their time to end the show. Even though it has been said the show is coming to an end, I believe the fandom for this show will carry on for a long time.

  Background Info.      Johnny Cash started to sing in the 1950's after his service in the military. He became known as the man in black due to the fact he always wore black clothes. During the 60's he began to fight with drugs. He had this battle his whole life.  In the 80's his sales began to drop. Then in the 90's he once again flourished. Then in 2003 he pasted away. Throughout his life he won many awards. He was able to do so after his death as well.    The Fandom In 2005, Walk the Line, a movie about his life was recorded. This movie was made for fans to see his life story. The movie goes on to talk about his singing, songwriting, and his romantic life with June Carter.  Many tribute bands were also made, so fans can continue to listen to Johnny Cash's music live. These tribute bands sing Johnny cash's songs. They will usually sing just how Cash did. Some though, will put their own twist to his music. These bands have live music year round....

The One Who Fills a Void

       One day I was spending time in Benton at my uncle's house like I do often. Me and him were working on a 1948 John Deere G that he had bought in the 70's and is now mine. My uncle is an older gentleman who was never married and never had kids, so I am almost the closest thing he has ever had to a son or grandson. Which after my grandfathers passed away years ago, he really filled the void and became almost more like a grandfather figure in way. On this particular day we were trying to clean up the tractor after it was caught in a flood. My uncle was a truck driver and a diesel mechanic his whole life and has a small shop in his backyard full of expensive tools that had almost all gotten caught in the flood waters. We had already spent days cleaning the shop and the tools. At this point we were both getting tired and discouraged. My Best Friend

"A sister is someone that is not only your sister but a best friend." That is what Julie, my sister, and I always say because we are truly best friends. We do everything together. We are only 17 months apart in age. My mom would always dress us in the same outfit when we were little and everyone would always ask if we were twins. Julie is someone that I always want by my side, which has made it hard and extremely different since I have moved into college. We have made so many memories together and get along so well. My sister makes the harder times easier and the easy times more fun. We tell each other everything and would always make time in the day too caught up and just talk to each other. Most of the time those conversations would happen at night while everyone is sleeping. Either one of us would go into the other's bedroom and sit on whoever's bed.
