significant person anecdote

On the night of May 11th, 2021, I was sitting on one couch while my mom was across from me on the other. I was snuggled up with my shih tzu poodle mix Sophie. I was antagonizing her when I shouldn't have and, I pushed it too far. She snapped. She got a hold of my upper lip. I could see stars thinking I was going to faint from the loss of blood gushing out of my lip. I got up holding my lip because I could feel it hanging by a thread on the right side. It was burning on the left side and severely bruised. I can only imagine what I looked like I thought to myself. My dad and brother rushed over to help my mom. My mom threw the blanket off of her and jumped up. She was in her favorite dark grey crewneck sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

"Why did you have to do that?" she kept saying. As she ran to grab paper towels from the kitchen. She immediately held onto my lip to try and control the bleeding.

"Im sorry! Im sorry!" is all I kept trying to say but it was too hard with her hand on the paper towel holding my lip in place.

She comforted me and just kept saying "shh it's gonna be alright." The whole time she did not panic. She instructed my dad to call 911 as soon as she saw what it looked like. Once EMT's arrived she kept telling me it would all be okay and her and my dad would be right behind the ambulance. All of a sudden when I got into the ambulance it didn't feel like it was hanging anymore. My mom literally put my lip back together. I ended up with 5 stitches on the left side of my lip. On the right side I was left with only a small scratch and bruising.

  1. In this anecdote at the beginning it seems to focus more on yourself and not as much on your mom. I think that this could be counter acted with more details on your mom after you have brought her into the story. For instance is there any thing that you can remember her saying, what was she wearing, or elaborate on after the EMT's arrived. Also just look at spelling / writing errors.
